Episode #99: Dave Castro
Dave Castro is the Director of the CrossFit Games and Co-Director of Training for CrossFit Inc. The first CrossFit Games were held on his parents ranch in Aromas, California, in 2007, and he has programmed all years of the Games. During that time, the Games have grown from a small competition involving about 70 athletes to a worldwide event in which more than 400,000 people compete to be named Fittest on Earth. Castro served in the United States Navy and lives in California.

Justin Romaire is the founder and CEO of Consistency Breeds Growth (CBG). He attended Yale University obtaining his MS in Organic Chemistry by synthesizing therapeutic small molecules for HIV-1 virus. This has allowed him to understand the intricate complexity of metabolic disease, and more specifically the mechanisms and complex molecules involving periodized nutrition, energy system training, and the neuroendocrine system.

Carl Paoli is considered one of the 'OG' CrossFitters. As a former gymnast who is passionate about movement, Carl has made a career out of creating educational content around movement.

Alex is the author of the book: "Endure" as well as a middle and long distance runner for the Canadian national team. His book explores the science of endurance and fitness and he has a lot of insightful thoughts regarding the role that ones mental strength and abilities contribute to performance as well as the ability to endure pain.
