Through Project Onyx, their mission is to eliminate the barriers that underrepresented and underserved people of color face by providing affordable and accessible health and fitness services, mentorship for our youth and future professionals, and empowering our communities to become more culturally proficient, healthy, and active.

John Welbourn is CEO of Power Athlete, as well as the creator of the online training platform, Johnnie WOD. He is a 9 year veteran of the NFL and was a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999-2003, the Kansas City Chiefs from 2004-2007, and appeared in 3 NFC Championship games. After retiring from the NFL, John got involved with CrossFit and eventually developed the CrossFit Football program. John has worked with the MLB, NFL, NHL, Olympic athletes as well as the Military, and he currently travels the world lecturing on performance and nutrition for Power Athlete.

Episode #120: George Briones, Volume 2
George is a Reconnaissance Marine with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and was an Instructor at Basic Reconnaissance Course for three and half years. George left his military career behind to become the Head Coach at SOFlete HQ, where he prepares candidates for Special Forces Assessment and Selection. Today, George’s focus is on the tactical athlete, a unique breed who can excel simultaneously in both strength and endurance activities.
