What Is Conquer’s MMA Fitness Program?

Nick Newell, Bellator MMA

I have a deep love for the martial arts. As a young kid, who didn’t want to be Chuck Norris or Bruce Lee? As I aged and stopped playing basketball, I stepped into the Jet Kun Do world. I didn’t spend much time there as finding a practitioner was difficult. However, that led me to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

My first experience with BJJ lasted two years, at that point I opened CrossFit Milford and the demands of running my own business pulled me away from my practice. Over the past few years, I have been able to dive deep back into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I have also started more stand up work (boxing, kicks, take downs). To me, there is no truer essence of life than battle. I also have a deep belief that everyone should have some form of understanding for protection and self preservation (but that is another topic).

Through my training, connections, and ability to program, I went deeper into specific training for my athletes that compete in MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Boxing. What I have realized over the years is that many programs are not built around sound principles in regards to the demands of these sports.

So, I wanted to create a program that helps to develop stability, structure, strength, power, capacity, and do so in a way that would not overly stress the body. The goal of Conquer Athlete’s MMA Fitness Program is to add to the combat sport athletes and not pull from their ability to train by beating them down in the gym. I understand the demands of BJJ, MMA, Boxing, and Muay Thai. I have felt the effects of training and sparring and I know how the body responds. So, with Conquer MMA, you will get a program that will develop your physical attributes to make you stronger and faster, but you will do so in a manner that will not overly tax your body.

The Conquer MMA program is developed alongside my training of the fighters from FAA CT (Fighting Arts Academy). Over the years, we have built a program that allows these fighters and practitioners to train on and off the mats in a way that compliments the other.

The new age combat sport athlete is not only skilled, but they are strong and athletic as fuck.

Our new MMA Fitness Program will give you the tools to get there! Learn more here, or email us at help@conquerathlete.com.
